BTech Acoustics is an acoustic transducer research, development, engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in piezoceramic and piezocrystal transducers and electronic subsystem developments.
Applications include underwater acoustic communications, navigation, sonar, detection and avoidance, and specialized piezoelectric and subsystem design and development. The firm also offers an extensive capability of transducer and subsystem modeling, performance prediction and prototyping. BTech's products are used in a variety of naval, commercial, and oceanographic applications.
President, Founder, Scientist
Dr. David A. Brown is the president of BTech Acoustics, LLC. Over the last 35 years, Dr. Brown has been concentrating on the development of underwater acoustics transducer and sensor technology including piezoelectric, piezoceramic and piezocrystal sources and sensors, acoustic motion and fixed pressure gradient sensors, and passive acoustic material characterization.
Senior Engineer
Dr. Corey L. Bachand is a research engineer at BTech Acoustics LLC. Dr. Bachand has over 15 years experience working as a full time engineer for BTech on electronics and acoustical systems. He completed his Master's and Doctorate in Electrical Engineering studying under under Dr. Aronov and Dr. Brown in the area of transducer modeling and acoustic subsystem modeling.
Contracts and Accounting Manager
Jessica Godfrey is the Contracts and Accounting Manager for BTech. She has been employed with BTech since 2015 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, financial reporting, and contract management. Jessica received her B.A. in Economics from the University of Vermont and her background in the banking industry includes financial analysis and executive reporting.
Mechanical Engineer
Austin Souza is a Mechanical Engineer at BTech Acoustics. He has been with BTech for more than six years and is active in the design, fabrication and testing of transducers, electronics, and instrumentation.
